VTC Marsha is inspired by the vertical sign that once hung outside of Stonewall, and named after Marsha P. Johnson. Marsha was an African-American, transgender woman from New Jersey, whose activism in the 1960’s and 70’s made her one of the most prominent figures in the Stonewall uprising of 1969
